He has then continued his studies at the accademy of the "Belle Arti di Brera" in Milano, where he studies scenography and achieved his teaching degree un reality Catanzaro will never embrace a teacher's career.
Three years later he was accepted at the experimental center of cinematography in Cinecittà Rome.
Catanzaro has had the rare opportunity of worning as an assistant art director with one of the greatest directors, Federico Fellini, while he was filming the "Satyricon".
After some vicissitudes, some highs and lows in his career, atanzaro decides to leave Italy for America.
In America, he continues his fervid creative activity with even more transport as he comes in touch with new horizons and his imagination is set free. Sl Catanzaro has never wished to participate at any art course or shows but he has been able to cure even the smallest detail of every public event to which he has participated as an artist. Thus, Sal"breaks away" whith his art, setting himself apart ffrom any tradition or convention always remaining true ro his world.

Salvatore Catanzaro painting is characterized by a multipicity of form that stretches vertically, alterating and adding variousthemes, Horizonntally, they vary and modify the same selectedobject.
The artist is not interested in the same thing that interest others, but his internal journey.

In this sense Catanzaro acts to pioneer common sense, taking little care of the thematic orders and concentrating on a discontinuity that belongs to tempermant and personality Each work espress a moment of intuite happiness, to which the constructive suffering follows that which decides the level of its position in the circle of his work, which is a corpus incontinuom expression
